We sometimes work with nonprofits. These nonprofits usually qualify for Google Ad Grants in Google Ads (up to $10,000/month). These types of accounts have special rules to allow them to stay eligible for the Grant. Please carefully go through each section to understand how to create and maintain a Google Ad Grant Account.

Follow Google’s Step-by-Step Guide for creating an Ad Grant account.
Creating a Google Ads Grant Account:
After signing up for Google for Nonprofits, your Ad Grants account will be associated with the same email address you used to create the Google for Nonprofits account.
The process is pretty simple from there, with a step-by-step breakdown of how to activate your Google Ads account on Google’s Help Page.
Once the account is set up, the PPC account can be created. It will look similar to any other account on Google Ads; however, there are specific rules that must be followed. Those are outlined below.
Requirements to stay eligible for Google Grants:
- No single-word keywords permitted
- No overly generic keywords permitted
- No keywords with a quality score under 3
- Maintain a 5% click-through rate each month
- Must have valid conversion tracking (if applicable)
- Must have at least 2 ads per ad group
- Must have at least 2 ad groups per campaign
- Must have at least 2 sitelink ad extensions
- Must respond to program survey (annually)
Here are Google’s more detailed instructions for how to stay current on these policies.
