There are two main types of audiences in Meta Ads: Custom Audiences and Lookalike Audiences. Custom audiences are more commonly used in retargeting campaigns while Lookalike audiences are used to find new prospects.

Creating a Custom Audience
To create an audience, navigate to the “Audiences” tab in Meta Ads Manager.
- Click “Create Audiences”
- Select “Custom Audience”
- Select the source you want to use, whether it’s a Meta source or otherwise
- Go through each of the fields, defining parameters and conditions.
- Click Save.
