Adding Analytics Goals as Google Ads Conversions and Settings

Website Call Tracking Setup Instructions

  1. Click Tools & Settings within the Google Ads Account
  2. Under Measurement, click Conversions
  3. Click the blue plus button on the top left
  4. Click Phone Calls >> Calls to a Phone Number on Your Website >> Continue
  5. Name the Conversion “Website Call Tracking”
  6. Input the value (get this from the MC over the account)
  7. Click Use Google Tag Manager (GTM)
  8. Open GTM in another tab
  9. Open the GTM account for the client
  10. Click Tags
  11. Click New
  12. Click the Tag Configuration box >> Conversion Linker
  13. Click Triggering box >> All Pages
  14. Save the tag
  15. Click New again
  16. Tag Configuration >> Scroll until you find Google Ads Calls from Website Conversion
  17. Fill in the information requested (you’ll need the Conversion ID & Conversion Label from the Goal you began creating in the Google Ads account)
  18. Triggering >> All Pages
  19. Save
  20. Submit & Publish the GTM container
  21. Go back to your Google Ads Tab & click Next >> Done
  22. The conversion should begin working within 24 hours
